This policy describes how tiritara.dev (also known as tiritara, “we”) handles information in our iOS and iPadOS apps that link to this page as their privacy policy.
One policy for multiple iOS apps. Features and service providers differ by app. See the app-specific practices below. New apps and changes in data handling will be added before they are made available.
1. Common principles
We handle information needed to provide each app’s features, only for the stated purposes.
We distinguish on-device processing from transmission to us or to external providers. “Not sent to our servers” does not mean that no information leaves the device.
Features requiring access to location or calendars respect iOS permission settings. You can change permissions in Settings.
We do not sell personal information. The apps currently listed below do not share personal information with other companies for advertising.
If we introduce advertising, analytics, accounts, cloud sync, or other new processing, we will identify the affected app, data, purpose, recipient, retention and deletion practices in advance and obtain consent when required. This statement is not a claim that these features are currently used, or consent to future collection.
2. App-specific practices
Rokuyou Calendar (和風六曜暦カレンダー)
On-device storage
Diary and dream text, keywords, recorded weather, language and theme preferences, a selected region and its coordinates, and a forecast cache. Diary text and keywords are not sent to us or to weather providers.
Location and forecasts
With permission to use your current location, the app uses iOS location services. It rounds the current-location coordinates to two decimal places, approximately one kilometer in latitude, before storing or using them. It does not continuously track location in the background. You can select a region manually without granting location permission.
The selected region’s coordinates are sent to Apple Weather through WeatherKit. If Apple Weather is unavailable, the app automatically falls back to Open-Meteo and sends that region’s coordinates to it. These requests do not pass through developer-operated servers. Providers also receive connection information such as your IP address.
Place-name search
Search terms are processed through Apple’s MapKit to find matching places. The coordinates of the selected place are also used for weather requests.
Device calendars
With permission, the app reads events through EventKit and displays them in the app. Event contents are not sent to us or to weather providers. Calendar access is not required to purchase or use the diary.
In-app purchases
Dreams & Diary is a one-time purchase through Apple’s StoreKit. The app checks purchase status to unlock the feature and supports restoration. Apple handles payment details.
Advertising, tracking and analytics
The app has no ads, does not access IDFA, and does not track users across other companies’ apps or websites. It includes no separate advertising, usage analytics or crash-reporting SDK.
Accounts and developer-operated cloud storage
No developer account is required. Diary entries are not stored or synced to our servers. See section 5 for operating-system backups.
This list describes iOS and iPadOS versions. These practices must not be assumed to apply to Android versions or apps not listed here.
3. Apple distribution, purchases and diagnostics
Apple handles App Store distribution and in-app payments. We do not receive payment card numbers. The app uses purchase information supplied by Apple to check and restore entitlements. Deleting an app does not delete Apple’s purchase history.
Separately from any analytics SDK, Apple may process usage or diagnostic information and make reports available to developers, depending on your diagnostic-sharing settings and Apple’s services. If we receive these reports, we use them to improve quality and address problems. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
4. External services and recipients
Section 2 identifies the services used by each app. Current services are:
Apple: App Store and StoreKit (distribution and purchases), Core Location (location features), MapKit (place search), and WeatherKit (forecasts). Privacy Policy / Apple Weather data sources.
Open-Meteo: fallback forecasts, processing coordinates and connection information such as IP addresses. Its published policy describes processing IP addresses for technical operations and abuse prevention, and deleting server logs that may contain coordinates after 90 days. GitHub Pages: hosting for this policy. Visiting the page connects to GitHub, which processes connection information such as IP addresses. See the GitHub General Privacy Statement.
Providers’ policies also govern their retention periods, processing locations and access or deletion procedures. We limit information sent by our apps to what is needed for the relevant feature and require appropriate safeguards when engaging service providers.
5. Retention, deletion and backups
On-device data: diary entries remain until you delete them in the app or delete the app from your device. New forecasts replace the forecast cache. Offloading an app can retain its data and is different from deleting it.
Backups: depending on your settings, app data may be included in operating-system backups to iCloud or a computer. Deleting the app does not remove existing backups. Manage or delete backups through Apple or your backup tools.
Permissions: revoke location or calendar access in iOS Settings. Revocation does not itself delete saved diary entries or selected regions. Deleting the app does not delete the original calendar events.
Data we do not hold: we cannot remotely read or delete diary entries stored only on your device.
Provider records: Apple purchase records and Open-Meteo logs follow the providers’ retention and deletion policies. We cannot directly delete those records.
When you contact us, we receive information you provide, such as your reply address, app name and message. We use it to respond, investigate the issue and communicate as needed, and retain it for as long as necessary for that purpose. We delete information that is no longer needed after handling the request, except where retention is required by law or to resolve disputes. Please do not send passwords, payment card numbers or unnecessary diary text.
You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion or restriction of personal information we hold, as provided by applicable law. We may request information needed to verify your identity. For information independently held by external providers, please also use their contact channels.
7. Security and changes
We take appropriate safeguards, including access restrictions, to prevent unnecessary access to or disclosure of information we handle. We update this page and the app-specific information when features or services change. We communicate material changes through in-app notices or other appropriate means and obtain consent where required. The latest policy is published here with its update date.
